Administering Distribution Lists

 

Goal

Distribute as-filed copies of documents to team members during trial

Find the case

  • Log into PacerPro (https://www.pacerpro.com/searches/new)
  • Select the appropriate tab (district, appellate or bankruptcy)
  • Type in the state name and choose the correct court
  • Enter the case number, attorney or party name
  • Enter the client code
  • Click search

Bookmark the case

  • On the search results page, you will see your case
  • Next to the case title, there will be two arrows
  • Click the double arrow to bookmark the case
  • Go to the MyCases tab in the upper left hand corner
  • Click the “MY CASES” button

Set up the distribution list

  • For each case, under distribution list click “edit”
  • Join the distribution list
  • Add the email addresses of the people who need to receive alerts Make sure “Free look pdfs” is set to “ON”
  • Docket updates alert you to modifications to docket sheets. In general, people turn this feature “OFF” for all but one person
